Alexis Albion
Director for Policy
Alexis Albion is a former Professional staff member for the 9/11 Commission. She served on the Commission’s counterterrorism policy team, with a focus on investigating intelligence policy. In this capacity, she was involved in interviews with dozens of senior policy and intelligence officials, reviewed thousands of pages of Top Secret documents, and co-organized the March 2003 public hearings of highest-level officials of the Clinton and Bush administrations. She wrote staff statements, testified before the Commission on staff findings, and was a key drafter of the Commission’s final report.
Prior to her work on the Commission, she was the Historian at the International Spy Museum. She is currently a PhD candidate in International History at Harvard University, writing on intelligence history. She has a M.A. in History from Harvard University (2000), and an A.B. from Princeton University (1992).
