Alvin Felzenberg
Senior Director of Communications

A long-time public servant, Al Felzenberg has worked in the past decade as the Special Assistant and Adviser to the National Broadcasting Board of Governors (Voice of America), as a communications consultant to Secretary of the Navy Gordon England, and the Director of Community Outreach and Public Liaison for the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Defense. Also a former fellow at the Heritage Foundations, he directed the Heritage Foundation’s “Mandate 2000” project on the presidential transition process, and was editor of Keys to a Successful Presidency. A presidential historian, he is the co-author of Evolution of the Modern Presidency: A Bibliographical Survey. He held several senior staff positions with the House of Representatives, including Staff Director of the Empowerment Subcommittee of the Small Business and Senior Majority Staff for the Subcommittee on the District of Columbia, Government Reform and Oversight Committee. Alvin Felzenberg earned a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University.
